<p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Chris Murphy announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Hospital on Saturday August 31<sup>st</sup>, 2013 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving spouse Marie (Chynn), his mother Theresa, his loving sons Ryan and Jeremy (Patrick), brothers Jerry (Floria), Kitchener, David (Brenda) Calgary, Denis (Lynnette), Iqaluit, Tony (Debbie) St. John&rsquo;s, Tom (Kathy), Calgary, Danny (Sandy), Ottawa, John, Labrador City, Robert (Mirielle), Moncton, sisters Ellen (John) Labrador City, Ann-Marie (Yvon), Labrador City, Sheila (Garth), Sarnia, Catherine (Neil), St. John&rsquo;s, mother-in-law Margaret Chynn, Deer Lake, sister-in-law Brenda (Craig) Mount Pearl, brothers-in-law: Frank (Paulette), Deer Lake,Kirk (Angela), Deer Lake, Joe (Jenny), Deer Lake, Aunt Rita (Gary), Uncles Joe (Marie), Bernard (Mary) and a large number of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins, good friends Jeff (Tara), Sean (Shannon) Pete (Beatrice),&nbsp;Jim (Pam)&nbsp;and many co-workers at Corner Brook Pulp and Paper. Predeceased by his father Dennis (2006), father-in-law Winston (2013), grandparents Mary and Patrick Byrne, aunts Lena (Bill) Humphries, Rosaline (Jim) Walsh, Marie Byrne, Uncles Harry (Agnes) Byrne, Bill Byrne and cousins Maxine and Denise. Special thanks to all the Doctor&rsquo;s and Nurse&rsquo;s at the Palliative Care and cancer unit at Western Memorial Hospital. You are all special angels. Special thanks to our family Doctor, Dr. O&rsquo;Driscoll.&nbsp; Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 2<sup>nd</sup> at 10:00 a.m. from Sacred Heart Parish in Curling with Father Maurice O&rsquo;Quinn officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Hospital.
