<p align="center"><strong>Valda Ann</strong></p> <p align="center"><strong>Young</strong></p> <p align="center"><strong>(nee Bursey)</strong></p> <p align="center"><strong>Curling, NL</strong></p> <p align="center"><strong>October 25, 1928 – July 17, 2013</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Valda Ann Young announce her passing on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 64 years Paul; 6 loving children: Brian (Tellie), Ottawa, Pauline (Chris) Hayes, Howley, Catherine (Rob Myrden), Corner Brook, John (Mayolene), Mississauga, Ont.,  Maureen (Noel) Holden, Fort McMurray, Alb. and Terry (Michelle), Corner Brook; daughter-in-law Rosalind Young; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brothers: Milton Bursey (Marlene), Nova Scotia, Don Bursey (Myrtle), Corner Brook and Wayne Bursey (Louise), Pasadena; sisters: Bernice Woodrow, Corner Brook, Joyce Earle, Corner Brook, Joan Mitchell, Springdale and Glenda Johnson (Ray), Corner Brook; brother-in-law Bill Drover, Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Bill, 1994, parents Harrison and Annie Bursey, sisters Stella Mollon, Mavis Bursey and Lorraine Drover, brother Robert Bursey. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Parish in Curling with Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Shepherds’ Fund.
