ALOYSIUS ALEXANDER STEPHENVILLE CROSSING, NL MARCH 27, 1934 – MAY 30, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Aloysius Alexander announce his passing on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 59 years Olive; children: Bertha (Mike) Keating, Gander, Eugene (Michelle) Alexander, New Brunswick, Jim (Lynn) Alexander, St. George’s, Joanne Bennett, Stephenville; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Hilary Alexander; sister Bertha Johnson as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents James & Clara Alexander; son Aloysius Jr. in 1988. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Cremation will take place following visitation at the Humber Valley Crematorium. The funeral mass will take place on Monday, June 3, 2013 from Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing at 10:00 a.m. with Father Tim Moriarity officiating. Inurnment will follow the service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brook Street, Stephenville Crossing. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
