Stella May Samson Brig Bay, NL February 9, 1925 – March 11, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stella Samson announce her passing on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son: Absalom (Sheena) Chambers; grandson: Lorne (Shianne) Chambers; granddaughter: Nadine (Dion) Cunard; great grandson: Hunter; great granddaughter: Christie; brothers: Winston (Sandra), Wilfred (Jessie) Chambers; sisters: Caroline (Ralph) Allingham, Sophie (Clifford) Flynn, Doreen Dredge; sisters-in-law: Olive, Ursula, Anita and a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her late husband William Samson; parents: Absalom and Elizabeth Chambers; brothers: William, Stedman, Curtis; sisters: Ruth, Jane, Virginia. The family will be receiving friends from Church of the Advent in Plum Point on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Harold Harvey officiating. Interment to follow at Pond Cove Branch cemetery. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Au Choix.
