SIMMS JAMES GEORGE CORNER BROOK, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jim Simms announce his passing on Friday, July 29th, 2005 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 57 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife: Anne; sons: Jamie (Nicolle) and Kent (Christa); mother: Mrs. Jessie Simms, all residing in Corner Brook; step-children: Paul (Tracey), Georgetown, ON, Tracey (Darren), Fort Nelson, BC, Jack, Corner Brook and Bradley (Denise), Fort Nelson, BC; sister: Ruby Bartlett (Jerry), Corner Brook; brothers: Fred (Eileen), Corner Brook and John (Sue), Pasadena; step-grandchildren: Ricky, Paul, Scott, Erika, Kyle and Tyler, as well as a large circle of niece, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Mr. Walter Simms, 2004. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday evening, 7-9:00 p.m., Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., and Monday, 10-11:30 a.m.. The funeral service will take place on Monday, August 1st, at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive. Majors Gary and Sharon Cooper officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
