Dorothy Marigold Roberts Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Marigold Halfyard Roberts (nee Taylor)announce her passing Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 89 years. Pre deceased by her husband of 49 years, Mark R (Bobs) Roberts. Leaving to mourn her four children, Grace (Roland) Burt, Mark (Georgia Parsons) St John's, Nora Oake (Kim Scott) , Clairmont, Alta ,Christopher (Andre Comeau) Powell River, B.C. 7 grandchildren, Marty (Liz Roper) Mark (Mary) Burt, Susan (Rodney) Peckford, Matthew Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, Johnathon Roberts and Christopher Oake, 5 great grandchildren, Emily, Stephen and Maggie Peckford and James and Grace Burt. Daughter of Octavius and Mary Taylor of Curzon Village Bonne Bay, mom is survived by her brother Herbert (Marie) Taylor and predeceased by brothers James, Kenneth, George (Alma )and Joseph (Emma)Taylor and her sister Elizabeth (Bess) Simmonds (George) . She is also survived by her brothers and sisters in law Wilfred (Elizabeth) Roberts ,Arthura (George) Squires and Margaret (Gordon Poffenroth) , Margaret, Neta and Dorothy Roberts and predeceased by Bruce, Harry(Dorothy)Gus, Heber, Rex (Norma)and Irene Knott. Mom is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends at the Lohnes Complex in Curling where she resided for 7 years. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1st at 11:00 A.M. from Fillatre’s Chapel with Canon John Meade officiating. The interment will follow at the Anglican cemetery in Cormack.
