ALBERT B. GIDGE Corner Brook, NL January 27, 1927 - January 26, 2013 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert B. Gidge announce his passing in the presence of his family, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility on Saturday, January 26, 2013 in his 86th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 63 years Dorothy (nee Bungay); children: Leslie (Elizabeth) Gidge, Waterloo, Ontario, Judith Ann (Gary) Kennedy, St. John’s, Helen Irene (Rev. Kevin) Durdle, Peterborough, Ontario; daughter-in-law Marlene Gidge (Robert Parsons), Corner Brook; grandchildren: Shauna, Ashley, Albert, Tom, Leslie, Harry, Willie, Adrian, Carla, Kevin, Melissa and Sarah; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law Clyde (Margaret) Bungay, Fredericton, NB; sister-in-law Elizabeth Gidge, Spruce Grove, Alberta; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sons Thomas and Leonard Gidge, father George Gidge, mother and stepfather Annie and Timothy Pelley, brothers Leslie and Jack Gidge and twin great-grandsons - Merrick. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday from the hours of 7-9 p.m and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 29 at 10:30 a.m. from the First Pentecostal Church, Premier Drive with Pastor Velmer Bessey officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the First Pentecostal Church Memorial Fund or to the Kidney Foundation.
