DANIEL O’QUINN, SR. DECEMBER 16, 1920 – JANUARY 18, 2013 WEST BAY, NL It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Daniel O’Quinn, Sr. on Friday, January 18, 2013, at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital at the age of 92. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 64 years Kathleen (nee Woodrow); daughters: Sharon (Jack Hynes) and Brenda (Edward O’Gorman); son Daniel, Jr. (Peggy); daughter-in-law, Shirley O’Quinn; one brother Raymond (Nora) of Stephenville; three sisters: Celina Burke and Patsy Archer of Halifax, Lillian (Ignatius Flynn) of West Bay. “Pop O’Quinn” is also survived by 11 precious grandchildren: Dean, Che, Rhenda, Tara, Jennifer, Melissa, Quin, Andrea, Dustin, Tyler and Shea; 13 precious great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by his son Tony in 1998 and 3 brothers: Sgt. Arthur, Charles and Bill. Dan was a WWll Veteran, having served in the 166th Nfld. Field Regiment in North Africa and Italy for a period of 4 yrs. 8 mos. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Lourdes with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay. Visitation will be daily from Our Lady of Lourdes Church starting Sunday evening at 5 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted.
