GILBERT Douglas Wilson Sr. Lark Harbour, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Douglas Wilson Gilbert Sr. Announce his passing on Friday, July 15th, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 93 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Calvin (Elsie), Lark Harbour; Rose (John) Bragg, Grand Falls; Nora (Willis) Rose, Stephenville; Douglas Jr. (Mary), Lark Harbour and Ruth (Wayne) Smith, Pasadena. 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Special friend Kathleen White. One brother Phillip Gilbert, sisters: Jenny MacIntosh, Emily Park, Masie Hynes and Thelma Sheppard. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Myrtle, 2001, parents Charles and Mary, brothers Raymond Sr., Wesley and Cyril, sisters Delephine Roberts and Mary Sheppard. Visitation was held at St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour on Saturday evening and Sunday, from where the funeral service will be held today, Monday, July 18th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Gordon Druggett officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
