Obituary of Ronald Francis Parsons

Ronald Francis Parsons Corner Brook, NL Aug. 11, 1937 – December 28, 2012 Passed peacefully away in his sleep on Friday, December 28th, 2012 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility, Ronald F. Parsons in his 75th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 52 years, Ruby M. Parsons (nee Dennis); two children: Patty Dawe (Derek), Corner Brook and Paul (Lori), Corner Brook; four grandchildren whom he adored: Nicole and Amanda Dawe, Olivia and Claire Parsons; brothers: George Parsons (Trudy), Benoits Cove and Gerald Parsons (Beatrice), Massey Drive; sisters: Viola Gallant, Yvonne Jesso (Walter), Mary Jesso, all of Benoits Cove, Marguerite Wheeler (Jack), Tumbler Ridge, BC and Olive Barnes, Frenchman’s Cove; step-mother: Ellen Parsons, Benoits Cove; brothers-in-law: Frank (Evelyn) Dennis, Leslie (Roxie) Dennis; sisters-in-law: Isabelle Parsons, Mary (Bud) Curtis , Edna (Don) Hynes and Doreen Dennis; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good close friends. He was predeceased by his father and mother, George and Emma Parsons; Henry Parsons; Effie Brown; brother: Harvey Parsons; sisters: Bessie Dennis, Blanche Park and Dot Barnes; granddaughter: Victoria Faith Parsons; father and mother –in-law: Les and Mae Dennis; step-mother-in-law: Effie Dennis; brother-in-law: Ralph Dennis. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday from 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31st at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Bishop Leonard Whitten officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Memorial Fund or to the Alzheimer Society.
