Doreen Sheppard (nee Curtis) Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doreen Sheppard announce her passing on Tuesday, December 25th, 2012 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters: Peggy (Wayne) Park, Corner Brook and Diane (Dennis) MacWhirter, Oshawa, ON; son: Dennis (Shelley) Sheppard, Lethbridge, AB; grandchildren: Amanda, Jennifer (Paul), Deanna, Dennis Jr. Caileigh and Devlan; one great granddaughter: Dawn; brother-in-law: Sam (Ann) Sheppard, Corner Brook and sister-in-law: Nora Curtis, Benoit’s Cove; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband: Christopher; son: Snowden; sister: Phyllis; brother: Pat; parents: Peter and Clara Curtis; parents-in-law: Elizabeth and Leslie Sheppard; brother-in-law: Linton Sheppard and sister-in-law: Lillian Sheppard. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28th at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street with The Very Reverend Baxter Park officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Parkinson Society.
