TOMMY BUFFETT
MEADOWS, NL
After a courageous five year battle with cancer and a “fight to the end” attitude, Tommy Ashley Buffett became free of his illness on November 29, 2012 at the age of 35. His passion for hockey; Senior Hockey in particular, especially the Deer Lake Red Wings, his love of Hockey Talk, music, family and friends made Tommy a well-known individual. As a National wrestling champion, Tommy loved to reminisce on his wrestling years at Templeton. In 2010 Tommy gave us his greatest gift, his daughter, Molly which gave him extra strength to fight this disease. He loved work and talked often about his co-workers at Long Harbour, saying “I gotta stay working–..I have a plant to build”. He loved spending time on the water either by boat or sea-doo and was considered a pool and card shark. He left a lasting impression on many with quite a few stories to share. Left to mourn are myself, his wife Natasha; daughter: Molly; Mom: Veronica; Dad: Tom; sister: Angela (Scott) Parsons; nephews: Scottie and Kyle Parsons; grandmother: Doreen Murrin; Father and Mother-in-law: Glenn and Pam Caines; sister and brother-in-law: Nadean and Craig Hann; a large extended family and a large circle of friends. He also leaves behind his two cats; Miley and Moe. Predeceased by Grandmother and Grandfather: Allie and Thomas Buffett; Grandfather Murdoch Murrin; Uncle George and Aunt Susan Buffett; Uncle Ivan Murrin and Aunt Gaye Murrin. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 30th, 7-9 P.M. and Saturday, December 1st, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Cox’s Cove . Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 2nd at 2:00 PM followed by interment at the church cemetery. Pastor David Crane and Pastor William Sampson officiating.
