JULY 3, 1921 … NOVEMBER 4, 2012
Passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL William P. Chaffey at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 68 years Phyllis; children: Helen Etchevary, Donald (Doreen), Yvonne (David) Hulan, Jerry (Freda), Madge (Dan) MacPherson, Todd; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Don Anderson; step-sisters: Shirley White, Marie Crew as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Martha Ann Chaffey; grandson Lee; brothers: Eldon, Westly, Russell, Douglas; sisters: Alberta, Mary, Lydia and Hilda. Friends may visit St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church, Jeffrey’s from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Terry Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Anglican Church Cemetery, Jeffrey’s. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to St. Mary Magdalene Church Fund. The family guest book may be signed through our website www.fillatre.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
