It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Rita Mary Gerard Jacobs at the age of 86 years on July 6th, 2005 in St.John's, surrounded by her loving family. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her 9 children: Helene Foran(Edward), Deli Davis (Frank), Bob Jacobs (Mary), Judi Barry (Jim), Jack Jacobs (Pam), Janet Neville (Gerard), Glen Jacobs (Barb Gillam), Susan Boutlier (Joe), Paul Jacobs (Janice); 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchiildren; brothers-in-law Jack Lafosse, St. John's, Peter Jacobs (Pat), Alberta, sister-in-law Merta Lampson (John), Florida and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Jack Jacobs, January 1993. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m. from All Hallows Church, Humber Road Father Gordon Grace officiating followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke foundation.
