Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 Lockyer Eli Noseworthy at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 91 years. He will be remembered and missed by his sisters: Inez (Marcel) Rousseau, Marjorie Mercer; special nephew Lockyer (Kelly) Mercer; special niece Darlene (Kevin) MacDonald as well as many other nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his wife Leona; parents William & Ethel Noseworthy; siblings: Melissa, Garfield, William and Fred. Lockyer spent many years with his beloved wife Leona enjoying the great outdoors. He especially loved hunting and fishing and spend a great deal of time as a Guide where he was able to pass on his passion to all those wanting to enjoy the beauty Newfoundland had to offer. In later years he developed a passion for fly tying which many people could attest to. Special thanks to the staff at Bayview Estates for the great care provided to him prior to moving to the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center. As well, we would like to thank all the staff at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center for their support of Lockyer during his 11 month stay. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 31, 2018 between the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, St. Mark’s Ave., Corner Brook, NL. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence St., Corner Brook, NL with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Mt. Patricia - Anglican Cemetery, Corner Brook, NL. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Lion’s Max Simms Camp. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home.
