GEORGE (WILFRED) HUTCHINGS Corner Brook NL Formerly of Shoal Brook, Bonne Bay, NL August 9, 1919 – October 14, 2012 Passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital October 14, 2012 at the age of 93 years. Wilfred was a member with the 166th Field Regiment during the Second World War, serving in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. Wilfred also resided at Reidville and Mountainview Manor, Corner Brook. He leaves to mourn with fond memories a large number of nieces, nephews, friends, and special caregiver Belinda Hutchings, Deer Lake. Predeceased by mother Estella (nee Follett),1925; father Joshua, 1930; brothers: Norman, Stanley and James; and sisters: Nellie Patten and Lucy Williams. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 17th at 2:00 PM from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue with Marilyn Avery officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family guestbook may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca
