Roy Michael Musseau, 72, passed away October 4, 2012 with his family by his side. Born December 16, 1939 in Corner Brook, NL to Randell & Nora Musseau. Roy grew up in Curling, married Joan P. Smith (May 22, 1944 – June 8, 2010), had two beloved children (Randy & Patti), and worked as an Ironworker until his retirement at age 62. He was active all of his life, loved the outdoors (especially fishing) and spent a lot of his time helping neighbours and friends. He enjoyed watching hockey & baseball, and was an avid reader. Roy is survived by his children, Randy (Janet Maynard) and Patti (Scott Penney); grandchildren, Seneca, Samantha and Riley; sisters, Mary and Marie; special aunt, Nonie Porter; brothers-in-law, Lou (Helen) Smith, Gerry (June) Smith, Dave (Jean) Smith, Bruce (Pam) Smith, and Ken (Glenna) Smith; sisters-in-law, Peg Barry (Bill) and Bev Smith; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. Roy is predeceased by his wife, Joan; parents, Randell & Nora; father & mother-in-law, Walter & Myrtle Smith; brothers, Charlie and Ronald; brother-in-law, Donald Smith, and niece Linda Jean Smith. The family would like to express a special thank you to Todd Warren and the nurses & staff of W.M.R.H.’s Palliative Care Unit. Cremation has taken place and at Roy’s request, no service will be held. If so desired, donations can be made to the ALS Society of Canada.
