INA STRATTON (nee Badcock) Corner Brook, NL January 20, 1920 - July 15, 2012 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ina Stratton announce her passing on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Betty King, Corner Brook, Margaret (Alton) Whelan, Corner Brook and Ann (Gilbert) Manuel, Gander; grandchildren: Michele Whelan (Peter Nicholson) and children Amy and Sadie, Adrienne King (Jon Seary) and son Douglas; sisters: Isabel Granter and Marjorie (Herb) Carruthers; brother David (Marian) Badcock; sisters-in-law: Edith Badcock and Marguerite Menne; special cousin Donald (Lorraine) Clarke and family; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends especially residents at the Mountainview Estates. She was predeceased by her husband William Stratton, parents Thomas and Florence Badcock, great-grandson Matthew Seary, brothers Elmer (Trixie), Jesse (Mary), Hubert and Gordon Badcock, parents-in-law Arthur and Lucy Stratton, brothers-in-law Carl Granter and Frank Menne and nephew Roy Stratton. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit.
