Kathleen Mary Atkins Port Au Choix, NL 1923- 2012 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kathleen Atkins announce her passing on Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Lowell (Margie), Sharon (Sten), Myles (Evangeline), Juanita (Gerald), Cynthia (Tom), Felix (Beverley), Edgar (Joan), George, Gloria (Calvin), Mary, Beatrice, Jacqueline (Keith); 31 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Atkins; partner: Otto Plowman; sisters: Mary and Elizabeth; brothers: Ignatius, Alex, Bill and Jack; children: Myles and Flora; and grandchildren Kathleen, Barry, Peter and Madonna. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Au Choix on Wednesday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22nd at 2:00 p.m. from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church , with interment to follow at the Interfaith cemetery, Sandy Cove.
