JANES Evelyn January 1st 1925 - June 1st 2012 Deer Lake, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Evelyn Janes announce her passing at the Long Term Care Facility in Corner Brook on Friday, June 1st, 2012 at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sisters: Lucy Turpin; Deer Lake, Sadie (Baxter) Lodge; Deer Lake, brother Maxwell Rowsell; Carmenville, foster daughter Mildred (Laudrick) Pittman; Deer Lake, 3 grandchildren: Jim (Joy) Rodgers; Brampton Ontario, Denise (Claude) Randell; St John’s, Nicole (Arthur) Cousins; Nova Scotia, 5 great grandchildren: Christopher Randell, Matthew Randell, Amanda Cousins, Kodiak Cousins, and Elizabeth Rodgers, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Janes, parents: Kitty Rowsell and Hayward Brown, step father Joseph Rowsell, brother Doyle Brown, sisters: Beatrice Watkins, Florence Reid, Effie Decker, Edna Fifield, brother Lewis Rowsell sisters in law: Drucella Brown, Doris Rowsell, Leona Rowsell, brothers in law: Douglas Reid, Armenice Watkins, James Decker, Gordon Fifield, and James Turpin. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 4th at 2:00 p.m. from Salvation Army Church with Major Wayne Pike officiating. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donation may be made to the Salvation Army Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
