Thomas Francis Higgins Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Francis Higgins announce his passing on May 30, 2012 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 62 years. Tom was well known and respected as a Minor Hockey Coach and Union Activist. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his two children: Sonya (Frank Andrea), Halifax, Thatan (Kerri), St. John’s, grandchildren: Emily and Maria (Thatan); former wife and lifelong friend: Janice Higgins; sisters: Mary Dier, Eileen (Jim Mercer); brothers: Jim (Clarice), Patrick (Patricia), Donald (Joan), Peter (Peg) sister-in-law: Vickie Higgins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: James and Theresa Higgins; sisters: Patricia, Kathleen, Theresa; brothers: Edward, Leo, Cyril; and brother-in-law: Hubert Dier. A Celebration of Life to express and share the love and life of Tom will be held on Sunday June 3, 2 p.m.; at the Press Club, 18 Union Street. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the ALS Society, Corner Brook. The online family guest book may be signed or memorial donations may be made through website www.fillatre.ca.
