WALLACE MILES Pasadena, NL January 8, 1923 - May 14, 2012 Passed peacefully away on Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility, Wallace Miles at the age of 89 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Gladys Miles, Corner Brook; children: Wayne (Evelyn) Miles, New York, Reid (Sandy) Miles, Chamberlains, Rodney (Denise) Miles, Cambridge, ON, Mark (Charmaine), Cambridge, ON, Lynda (Les) Elliott, Manuels and Vera (Felix) Traverse, CBS; step-children: Brian (Jeanette) Holwell, Corner Brook, Derek (Sherry) Holwell, Ft. McMurray, AB and Linda (Tony) Tibbo, Pasadena; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandson; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George and Eliza Miles, 13 brothers and sisters. A special thank you to the staff of the Second floor at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday 2-4 p.m. Visitation will continue at the Humber Valley United Church in Pasadena on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
