GEORGE ERIC DAY Curling, NL August 10, 1929 - April 22, 2012 It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Eric Day announce his passing on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Lohnes Complex in Curling at the age of 82 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife Lorena (nee Snooks) on April 24, 2008. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Maureen (Ray), Betty (Paul), George (Judy), Gary (Natalie), Lisa (Terry), Dean, Cory (Tammy) and Christina (Craig); grandchildren: Vicki, Terri, Kevin, Tyler, Lucas, Joshua, Carter, Reagan, Michael, Justin, Patrick, Caleb, Sarah, Katie, Nathan and Brooklyn; great-grandson Cole; sisters: Alice (Albert) and Gertie; brother Charlie; special niece Dorothy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and residents at the Lohnes Complex. He was also predeceased by his parents Charles and Violet and brother John. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Curling Memorial United Church on Thursday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
