It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel House announce her passing on Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 71 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 54 years Jacob; children: Gevena (Bill), Harrison (Monica) and Robert (Lisa); granddaughters: Marilyn and Shantel; great-granddaughter Kayla; mother-in-law Ivy House; sisters and brothers: Anne (Don), Joan (Boyd), Mona (Gus), Iris (Val), Linda, Bobby (Cynthia), Manuel (Thelma), Clyde (Dee), Ronnie (Joyce), Pete (Carolyn) and Amos (Brenda); brothers and sisters-in-law: Reg, Howard, Hubert (Sadie), Edna (Leonard), Gladys (Ralph) and Barbara (Gerald); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Ablason and Mary Payne, father-in-law Abraham House, sisters Gladys, Viola and Ella (Sterling). Special thank you to Dr. Griffin and the Staff at Broadway Family Clinic. Also special thanks to nursing staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Friends may visit St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church in Cox’s Cove on Tuesday from the hours of 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook.
