Passed peacefully away on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility, Harvey F. Parsons in his 71st year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife of 47 years Isabel D. Parsons (Stokes); his mother Ellen Parsons age 94 years of Benoit’s Cove; three children: Vicki Hogan (Craig), Mt. Pearl, Gregory Parsons (Loretta), John’s Beach and Jason Parsons (Nancy), John’s Beach; five grandchildren: Christina McCarthy (Brendan), Sean McCarthy, Taylor Parsons, Tamera Hogan and Mason Parsons; brothers: Ronald Parsons (Ruby), Corner Brook, George Parsons (Trudy), Benoit’s Cove and Gerald Parsons (Beatrice), Massey Drive; sisters: Viola Gallant, Benoit’s Cove, Yvonne Jesso (Walter), Benoit’s Cove, Mary Jesso, Benoit’s Cove and Marguerite Wheeler (Jack), Tumbler Ridge, BC; sisters-in-law: Jean Babstock, Mt. Pearl, Barbara Myles (George), Halifax, Margaret Gillard (Robert), Portugal Cove and, Vera O’Keefe (Cyril), Ferryland; brothers-in-law: Harold Stoke (Myra), Newtown, Bonavista Bay and Lorne Stokes (Sharon), Mt. Pearl; special nephew Richard Gallant, Benoit’s Cove; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good close friends. He was predeceased by his father Henry Parsons, mother and father-in-law May and Hubert Stokes, sister-in-law Shirley Ford and husband John Ford, brothers-in-law Joseph Gallant, Chesley Howse and Carl Babstock. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ambrose Anglican Church, John’s Beach with Rev. Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at St. Ambrose Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donation may be made to St. Ambrose Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
