ALTON GARFIELD BUTT St. George’s, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alton Butt announce his passing on Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers: Thurland, St. George’s, and Earl, Grand Falls-Windsor; sister: Shirley Affleck, BC; sister-in-law: Beulah Butt, St. George’s; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Fred and Adelia; brothers: Wilbert (Adeline), Max, Ray (Sybil); sisters: Hilda Hudson (Charlie), Thelma Krysti, Jean Sheppard (Frank) and June Nelson (Johnny); sister-in-law: Sylvia Butt. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillate’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Saturday from 1-3:00 p.m.; followed by a Memorial service at 3:00 p.m., Reverend Kathryn Eddy officiating.
