Rita Kathleen Elford (nee Bennett) Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Elford announce her passing on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 64 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is her husband of 45 years, Frank; children: Shawn (Dave), Toronto, ON, Connie (Blaine) Gillam, Corner Brook and Frank Jr. (Julie), Sault St. Marie, ON; three precious grandchildren: Courtney Gillam, Dylan and Kyle Elford; sisters: Donna (Rod) Park and Linda (Fred) Bell; brothers: Reg (Sheila), Doug (Joan), Bernard (Ted) and Brian (Elizabeth); mother-in-law: Mrs. Josephine Elford and her sisters: Mary and Eileen; brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom (Marion) Elford, Mary Elford and Raymond (Nadene) Elford; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Raymond and Annie Bennett; sisters: Valerie and Elizabeth and brother Rex. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 26th at 10:00 A.M. from Sacred Heart Parish in Curling with Father Edmund Camacho officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
