It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jean Kettle announce her passing at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques on Saturday, October 29th, 2011 at the age of 66 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Art; 4 children; 3 step-children; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary (Tom) and Florence (Sonny); 5 sisters-in-law; special friends: Marilyn Pearce, Dorothy & Cecil Allen and Howard & Carol Farrell, as well as a large circle of friends at the Seniors Complex and Cottages. Jean was predeceased by her parents James and Naomi Spencer and brothers Jim and David. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 9:30-11 a.m. The Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Church, officiated by Capt. Paul Brake. Cremation will take place at Humber Valley Crematorium in Pasadena, followed by interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery on Friday, November 4th at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted.
