PUMPHREY Ronald John Lakeside Homes, Gander, NL (formerly of Corner Brook, NL) October 27, 1928 - October 14, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald John Pumphrey announces his peaceful passing at Lakeside Homes, Gander, surrounded by his children and grandchildren on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn, with fond and loving memories, his children: Carmel Hookey, St. John’s; Ron (Marla) Pumphrey, Gillams; Louise Pumphrey, Gander; Joanne Pumphrey, St. John’s; Fay (John) Best, Gander; and Frank (Tammy Ginther) Pumphrey, Salmo, BC; grandchildren: Jason and Shikara Pumphrey; Brianna, Tabitha and Daniel Hookey; Ryan Best; Chelsea and MacKenzie Ginther; great-granddaughter: Nevaeh Vincent; brother, Kevin (Valerie) Pumphrey; sister-in-law, Irene (Hector) Wells, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Josephine and son, Daniel.Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home on St. Mark’s Avenue in Corner Brook on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17 at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue, Corner Brook at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
