It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sylvia Wilton announce her passing on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Ray Jr. (Phyllis), Donna Greene (Sam), Paul (Kathleen), Wanda Smith (Havelock), Sharon Wilton, Brian (Val), Rodney (Christine), Tammy Seymour (Charles), Chad (Lori), Krista Wilton, Tonya Buckle (Gary) and Leeann Wilton; 24 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers: George and Lesley Pike; sisters: Daffodil Wareham and Vera Lidstone; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Sr., 1996; and two children: Derek and Renee. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13th at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street, officiated by Archbishop Stewart Payne. The Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of WMRH.
