It is with great sorrow that the family of the late Dorothy (Dot) Murley in her 93rd year announce her passing on Sunday October 2, 2011 while visiting her daughters in Lima, Ohio. Predeceased by her husband Cecil (June 1993), son-in-law Larue Petersen (Aug 2001) and son-in-law Harold Archer (April 2001). Left to mourn are her children: Wilfred (Bud) of Thunder Bay, On; daughters; Thelma and Joan (Terry Wilkins),Lima, Ohio. Son; Grenville (Mabel),son: Clyde; Daughter: Bertha (Wilf Anstey) all of Toronto, On; and son David of Benoit's Cove; one sister remains Mabel (Alphonse Aucoin) of North Sydney, NS and one sister-in-law Onea Murley of Corner Brook; there are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and yes even great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Dot will be remembered for her many kind acts of helping others, the bread she baked, the knitting she did, hats, mitts, etc which she joyfully donated to various charities in Mississauga, ON, where she have lived for the past 18 years. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Saturday from 2-4:00 p.m. The funeral service to be held at St Mary's Anglican Church, Curling on Sunday, October 9th at 2:00 p.m. Bishop Leonard Whitten officiating.with interment to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Diabetic Society or contributions to St. Mary’s Anglican church, 456 Curling St, Corner Brook, NF, A2H 3K6.
