Passed away peacefully, after a short illness, John Alfred Barry at the age of 80 years. Leaving to mourn his wife of 60 years: Violet Pearl (nee Anstey). He also leaves to mourn daughter Mary Barry, Montreal; sons: John Francis (Barbara), Corner Brook, Robert (Pat), Moose Jaw, Sask, and Kevin (Nancy), Keswick, ON; as well left with fond memories sons: Reg Mullett, Stephenville Crossing and Byron Mullett (Pat), Nova Scotia. He also leaves seven grandchildren who will miss their poppy; Darlene (Harold) Bellows, Jason, Marika, Mandy, Sheena, Todd and Shane Barry; three great grandchildren: Erin and Hannah Bellows and Sabastian Barry; sisters-in-law: Ruby (Charlie) Webb and Nina Sheppard, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by son David and infant daughter Sylvia; brothers: William and wife Margaret, Gordon; sisters: Mildred Barry, Annie Bennett and husband Raymond; brother-in-law Harold Sheppard: parents Fred and Mary Barry; mother and father-in-law: Wesley and Laura Anstey; and Mary Anstey (Mosher). Visitation will take place from Fillatre`s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Fr. Edmund Camacho officiating. Interment to follow Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the D.V.A. Unit of the O'Connell Centre. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
