HOWE SOPHIE Corner Brook, NL Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, May 17th, 2005 Sophie Howe at the age of 89 . Sophie was born in Trout River, October 6th, 1915, the daughter of Jacob and Eloshia Crocker. She was predeceased by husband Alonzo Howe March, 1999, sisters: Eva White, Susanna Higdon; brothers: Andrew, Leonard, Arthur and William. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Valerie Hounsell (David), Gordon (Margaret), Frederick (Rose), Beulah Goobie and Hazel Dumond; grandchildren: Christopher, Nicholas, Andrea, Jonathan, William, Stephanie, Stephen, Elizabeth, Brenda, Jack, Joseph, Peter, Yvonne and Wendy; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, first cousin Beatrice Snook at the Lohnes Complex, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Fillatre`s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 20th at 2:00 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, Main Street. Rev. Lorne Gosse officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
