It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dianna Violet Purchase announce her passing on Friday, April 13th,2018 on the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Hospital. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Reuben; sons Neil (Nora) and David (Heather); grandchildren, Evan, Blair, and Elli; sister Joyce Jacobs; sister-in-law Leah Card, as well as a large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Chester and Lily Card; sister Florence (Clifford) Reid and brother Heber Card. Special thank you to home care workers Trudy George and Janice Cassell, and the family’s own special nurse Lisa Pinksen. Also special thanks to all the staff from the Palliative Care Unit, Western Health and the Cancer Unit. Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Street, Deer Lake on Sunday, April 15th from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 16th at 2 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel, Church Street, Deer Lake with Major Henry Bingle officiating. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy the family has requested in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
