We are sorry to announce the passing of our mother, Ann Martin (Reid) on Wednesday, March 16th, at the age of 97 years. She leaves to mourn sons: Gerard, Gary (Marian), and Danny (Tammy); daughters: Janet (Jim), Marilyn (Lex) and Barbara; grandchildren: Jason, Maija, Aileen, Stan, Alexandra, Tara, Jennifer, Matthew, Kerry, Ryan and Taylor; 6 great grandchildren; brother George; and sister in law Mary Reid. She was predeceased by her husband Stan (1977); grandson Michael (1999); sisters: Monica, Elizabeth, Edith, Jean, Mary, Lycina, Helena and Theresa; brothers: Bill, Mike, and Fred. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday 2:00 – 4:00 PM & 7:00 – 9:00 PM. The Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, March 19th, at 10:30 AM from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue, Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the VON or to the Special Olympics Newfoundland & Labrador. The family guestbook may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
