VIVIAN DECIMA VERGE Corner Brook, NL July 14, 1923 - February 9, 2011 	 Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 surrounded by her loving family, Vivian Verge at her family residence at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 64 years Chesley Verge; daughters: Lynda (Doug) Sweetapple, Lorna (George) Gillingham, Lana (Carl) Leggo, Richmond, BC and Joanne (Craig) Goudie, Grand Falls - Windsor; grandchildren: Nancy (John), Mark (Jennifer), Brian, Matthew (Michelle), Benjamin, Claire (Sam), Anna (Nicholas), Aaron (Penny), Zachary (Laura) and Joshua (Karla); great-grandchildren: Nikalus, Ella, Owen, Lorne, Madeleine and Mirabelle; sisters: Emma (Lewis) Pitcher and Mary Slade; brother and sisters-in-law: Isaac (Doris) Verge, Elizabeth Penney, Julia Verge and Beatrice Pye; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Archibald and Evelyn Pye, brother Clifford Pye, father and mother-in-law Leander and Amy Verge, brothers-in-law Ray Slade, Fred Leonard and John Verge. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12 at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, Park Street with Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to First United Church Redevelopment Fund - Kitchen.
