Obituary of Gerald Bird
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Bird announce his passing on Monday, February 7th, 2011 at the Labrador Health Centre at the age of 74 years. He will be sadly missed by his children: Tom (Kelly), Vanessa (Brian) and Jody; grandchildren: Shawna, Cole and Haley; sisters: Rose, Willa, Margie and Eliza; brothers: Glen, Herman and Pat, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Thomas and Flora; sister Linda and brothers Steve and Edgar. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, February 10th at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Happy Valley Goose Bay. Interment will follow at the Old Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the family.
