Mildred “Irene” Mugford (nee Eddy) Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Irene Mugford announces her passing on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 at Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters: Lorraine (Derrick) Elkins, Corner Brook and Carol (David) Sherlock, Halifax, NS; daughter-in-law: Judy Mugford, Corner Brook; grandchildren: Carol Ann White (Clarence), Mary Elkins, Susan Morgan, Sharon Walker, David Sherlock, Stephen Mugford, Denise Sherlock and Devon Mugford; great grandchildren: Rebecca, Stephen, Melissa, Janine, Shanna, Emma, Julie, Bria, Sarah, Matthew , MacKenna and Seth. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Sr.; son: Walter Jr.; sister: Marjorie and parents Alex and Louise Eddy. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 28th at 11:00 A.M. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. Marks Avenue followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery, Reverend Marilyn Avery officiating. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
