It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ralph Wight announce his passing on Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 91 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers: Milton (Annie) Wight, Ross (Shirley) Wight, William (Mary) Wight, Deer Lake and David (Leah) Wight, Edmonton, AB; sisters: Pearl (Sam) King, Deer Lake and Lillian Howse, Kitchener, ON; sisters-in-law: Lilian Wight, St. John’s, Florence Anstey, Pasadena and Helen Anstey, Corner Brook; niece: Joy Moulton, Halifax, NS and his exceptional caregiver and friend: Rita O’Neil (Brian); neighbor and friend : Kevin Penney, Corner Brook; as well as special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris "Dot" Wight, 2006; brothers: N. Ray Wight and George Wight;and sister: Mildred Barnes. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Friday 10 to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 14th at 2:00 PM from the Salvation Army Citadel with Majors Robert and Cassie Kean officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.
