George Walter Buffett Cox’s Cove, NL It Is with great sadness that the family of the late George Buffett announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 at the age of 59 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his two daughters: Charlene (Martin), Cox’s Cove, and Charmaine (Paul) Piercey, Orangeville, ON; two grandchildren: Chloe Barnes and Olivia Piercey; common law wife: Tracey Keats; sisters: Lorraine (Dave) Best, Cox’s Cove, Rubina Hodder (Don, deceased), Toronto, ON, Marguerite Milley (Gilbert), Toronto, ON; brothers: Tom, Cox’s Cove, Kerry, Toronto and Derm, Cox’s Cove; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Susan, 2004; parents: Thomas and Alfreda Buffett; father and mother-in-law: Philip and Mary Payne. Visitation will take place from St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Wednesday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, January 14th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Joan Coles officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
