WILLIAM TAPP Corner Brook, NL November 9, 1927 - January 8, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Tapp announce his passing on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his 7 children: Douglas, Brenda (Dave) Ryan, Raymond (Sharon), Greta Tapp, Geraldine (Clyde), Clayton (Debbie) and Evelyn (Dave); daughter-in-law Wanda (late David Tapp, 2010); grandchildren: Kimberly, Tanya, Rodney, Jeremy, Tyler, Bobby, Nicole, Billy, Sabrina and Sally; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ada Short, Myrtle (Austin) Brake and Melida (John) Innis; brother Victor Upshall; sisters-in-law: Vonnie (Aaron) Sheppard and Della Wells; home care worker Marion LaSaga whom the family would like to thank for the exceptional care given to William over the past few years she truly was a friend and part of the family; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Alice, 1983, son David, 2010, parents Douglas and Naomi. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 11 at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Good Hearts Foundation.
