Edith Jean Blanchard Meadows, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edith Blanchard announce her passing on Thursday, November 25th, 2010 at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories : her daughter, Lorraine Ellsworth (Alfred), Corner Brook; loving grandchildren: Colleen Ellsworth, Mt. Pearl and Adrian (Janet) Ellsworth, Ottawa, ON; dear great grandchildren: Mary and Andrew Ellsworth; nieces and nephews: Roland (Gloria), Ernest (Claudine), Clayton, Anita, Avril, Jordy (Maureen), Brian (Marie), Larry (Peggy) Blanchard; Una Lovell, Isabelle (David) Hunt, Jean Combdon; special cousins: Carolyn (Everett) Hann, Christine Tucker (Maitland) and Rebecca (John) Parsons, Wayne (Marie) and Malcolm (Muriel) Tucker; caregivers at Mountainview Home, Meadows, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Norman and Beatrice Blanchard; brothers: John and Arthur; sister-in-law: Ethel Blanchard; best friend: Evelyn (Frank) Tucker. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Meadows, from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 28th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating, followed by interment at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Holy Trinity Church Memorial Fund.
