It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Kennedy announces her passing on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 61 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Calvin Strickland (Natasha), Gary Stubbins (Anna) and Terry Stubbins (Tracy); three grandchildren: Cassidy Strickland, Jake and Josh Stubbins; her parents: Mark and Carrie Parsons; brothers: Wilfred Parsons (Kay) and Calvin Parsons (Geraldine); sisters: Linda Bourgeois (Howard) and Denise Gallant (Mike); sister-in-law: Nora Stratton ; special friend Eugene (Chuck) Kennedy; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother: Wayne Parsons, 2007. Granting her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. The interment will be held on Thursday, November 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Patricia Cemetery, Major Calvin Fudge officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Hospital. The family would like to say a special Thank You to the Nurses and Doctors of the Palliative Care Unit, WMRH.
