It is with great sadness that the family of the late Stephen Hewlin announce his passing on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 59. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sisters and brothers: Edith (Arnold) Guinchard, Daniel’s Harbour, Llewellyn (Velma) Hewlin, Cow Head, Ira Hewlin, Corner Brook, Peter (Rona) Hewlin, St. Anthony, Marilyn (Rod) Brown, Cow Head, Diane (Rufus) Payne, Cow Head, Jane (Mike) Payne, Port William, NS; brother-in-law Felix Newman, Corner Brook; special home care workers: Greta Hutchings and Lorraine Packwood, Cow Head; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Bertram and Alma Hewlin; sister Florence Newman; brothers Hiram and John Hewlin; nieces Marilyn Ann Newman and Patricia Guinchard. Visitation will take place on Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Cow Head from where the funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at 2 PM. Rev. Jean Brenton-Hickman officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Cow Head. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or a donation may be made to the Lung Association.
