Obituary of George A. Janes
Passed peacefully away at Mountain View Estates, Corner Brook on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at the age of 87 years.
Left with fond and loving memories, 3 children Lloyd in Quebec, Henry (Sandra) in Mt. Pearl and Ruth Hickey (Don) in Steady Brook; brothers: Roland (Martha), Charles (Annie); sisters: Naomi Yates (Ron), Elizabeth Rumbolt, Jessie Neal (Newman), Effie Coderre (Ernie) and families; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 1996 and sister Mary.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 24th at 2:00 p.m. from The First Pentecostal Church, Premier Drive, Pastor Velmer Bessy officiating, followed by the interment at the Mt. Patricia Cemetery Receiving Chapel. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue Thursday from 7-9 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada, the Western Memorial regional Foundation or a charity of ones choice.
