It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maxwell Barney announce his passing at Labrador South Health Centre in Forteau on Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond memories Wesley (Jean), Louis (Julia), Calvin (Deb), Peter (Veronica), Freddy (Margaret), Terrance (Elsie), Amanda (Ricky), and daughter-in-law Iris; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother Clarus and three sisters: Amelia, Annie and Elizabeth, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Isabella, parents Solomon and Jane Barney, son Bruce and sister Myrtle. Visitation took place at the L'Anse au Loup Gospel Hall on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from where the Funeral Service took place on Monday, September 13th at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Freddy Barney and Mr. Eric Fowler officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery in L'Anse au Loup. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted.
