WALTER CHARLES REID CORNER BROOK, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Reid announces his peaceful passing on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010 at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Alan, Corner Brook, Kevin (Elizabeth), Niagara Falls, ON, Edith (Emrys Bishop), Cambridge, ON and Donna (Jim Humber), Pasadena; grandchildren: Craig (Gail), Michael (Karen), Krista, Shelley (Paul), Tanya, Scott (Judy), Mark, Reid (Renee), Colin (Joanna) and Katie (Sean); great grandchildren: David, Jacob , Beth, Brittny, Zachary, Matthew, Olivia, Emma and Nicholas; sisters: Bella McKay, Margaret Organ and Shirley Sutton; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Madge, 2002; brothers: Lionel, Malcolm, Clifford, Warren and Gerald; sisters: Ethel Shears, Alice Gillam and Joyce Reid. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 26th at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street, Reverend Derek Thomas officiating, followed by interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to All Saints Memorial Fund.
