It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elvina McVean announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, March 14th, 2005 at the ge of 96 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, daughter, Dorothy Helen Post (Tom), 2 grandchildren, Bob Post and Sandra Lyon, 3 great-grandchildren, special nieces, Priscilla Boutcher, Dorothy Gough, Marjorie Rowsell, Lillian Hayes and Pat Nolan, sister, Dorothy Mann, Toronto, ON, brother, Joe Gaudon, Mississauga, ON, as well as a large circle of other nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Murdock (1979), mother and father, John and Annie Gaudon, sisters, Marjorie Nolan, Priscilla Young, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and Annie Gaudon, brothers, Norman Gaudon, Harold Gaudon and Martin Gaudon, and son-in-law, Ron Post. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 23rd, at 10:30 a.m. from Most Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Cathedral, Father Edmund Camacho officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Corner Brook, NL.
