It is with great sadness that the family of the late Oliver Newman announce his passing on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Labrador Health Centre at the age of 68 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Margaret; children: Morina (Gerard), Maxine (Simon), Tommy (Sherry), Jean and Mae (Robert); grandchildren: Travis (Deborah), Preston, Sean, Samantha, Jonathan, Jessica, Brittany and Brandon; great-grandchild: Riley, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Stennie Newman, mother Elizabeth Newman and grandchild April. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley - Goose Bay on Sunday, August 1 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Living Memorial Fund/Missions.
