Obituary of Gillian Decker

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gillian Tanya Stella Decker announce her sudden passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander, NL on December 7, 2024, at the age of 53 years and 10 days.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughter Yvonne (Shannon); granddaughters Mia and Paige; father Roland (Katie); brothers Sam (Sheila), Tom (Elizabeth), Dean (Caroline), Frank (Kim), Nigel, Phillip, Jonathan; sister Hilary (Pishumus); special extended family Brady; as well as a large circle of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear friends.

Gillian was predeceased by her mom Peggy Decker (Clarke); brother Ken Decker, grandparents Stella and William Clarke; grandparents Charlotte and Sam Dickers.

Gillian was a kind and loving person to everyone. The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to all those who have shown love and support through their time of loss.

Visitations will be held for family and friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL, on Wednesday, Decemebr 18th, 2024 at 11:00 am with Rev Nellie Thomas officiating.
